Introduction

The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is an entry-level professional degree program designed to equip graduates with comprehensive knowledge and competencies in social work practice for both local and global contexts. This program emphasizes the development of critical thinking skills, professional values, and practical experience necessary for effective social work practice.

Our BSW program is structured to provide students with a solid foundation in social work theory, research methods, and field practice. Students will gain expertise in working with individuals, families, groups, and communities while developing a deep understanding of social justice, human rights, and cultural diversity.

The curriculum integrates classroom learning with extensive field experience, ensuring that graduates are well-prepared to address contemporary social challenges and contribute meaningfully to society's welfare and development.

Field Work Practicum

Field experience is an integral component of social work education, where students begin to connect and integrate theory and practice. Our fieldwork program is strengthened by partnerships with over 50 active field work partners including NGOs, INGOs, CBOs, governmental organizations and schools.

Practicum Structure

Years 1-4 (Semesters 1-4)

Two days a week for 12 weeks

130 hours per semester

Intermittent agency placement

Years 3-4 (Semesters 5-7)

4-6 weeks continuous placement

200-250 hours per semester

Block placement after theoretical classes
