**National Youth Conference** Promoting Human Relationship for Achieving Sustainable Development Goals Conceptualized and Organized by School of Social Work, Kadambari Memorial College Date: March 18-19, 2019 Venue: Tewa Nepal ** The Core Idea: ** As mentioned by the UN, the sustainable development goals provide a blue print to achieve a better and more sustainable future for everyone. The global challenges of poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, peace and justice could be addressed by the global goals. The disconnectedness of the 17 goals with each other is determined to Leave NO one Behind in this mission. Social workers, educators and social development practitioners believe in playing a constructive role by working together towards the global goals with their participatory work and social services drawing on shared objectives and aspirations to contribute to create more socially just, fair and sustainable world. In the mission, social workers across the world are showing their solidarity and guided by the Global Agenda 2012. Every year, the World Social Work day brings the joy and commitment to this mission with different theme. This year, the World Social Work 2019 has brought focus on social relationships between people’s essential relationship with each other, their environment and their future as “Promoting the Importance of Human Relationship”. The School of Social Work, Kadambari Memorial College, takes this opportunity to bring scholars, students and practitioners from different walks of life and professions to harness the human relationship to foster partnership in contribution to the sustainable development goals. As the core value of Social Work, human relationship between and among people are taken as an important vehicle for change. The same principle is integrated in the conference to engage people and institutions as partners in co creating purposeful effort to formulate activities contributing to SDGs in different level of human, social and economic development. An understanding of how we can work best toward fostering human relationship in different levels to strengthen human capitals for social development, the conference aims to share and exchange, ideas, good practices and challenges from multi-disciplinary participants, professionals and young students of Nepal. The conference aims to provide young participants a local platform for dialogue, experience-sharing, knowledge-sharing, networking and integration and idea-testing. In this, participants will gain knowledge, can further integrate human relationship as mean to sustainable development in their profession, education and practice in their professional and personal lives. **Objectives:** 1. Share knowledge on positioning , practice and importance of human relationship in people’s profession , education and personal life 2. Share experiential activities, observation and knowledge of students highlighting or challenging the human relationship and social development goals. 3. Boost awareness of the link of human relationship in corporate and social world. 4. Foster partnerships for action by strengthening local and national cooperation and partnerships of young students as vehicle to sustainable development. 5. This conference is designed to offer a maximum space and opportunity for youth participants to engage in all of the conference activities. The conference activities are designed to be pre conference and on conference module. The students who are participating in oral presentations are mentored by mentees for preparation of abstracts and presentation (10 min) as international conference format. Three days half day workshop will be organized by Kadambari Memorial College in its campus. The conference activity is planned to provide spaces for participants by presentation ( Oral Presentation) , listening, asking and learning from experienced personalities from multiple discipline ( Panel Discussion), prepare and present solution of problem based cases from collaborative team ( Idea into Action). The following activities are designed as platforms for students’ engagement and enrichment in SDGs. **Pre conference Activity:** Oral Presentation Mentoring (three, half day’s workshop at Kadambari Memorial College) During Conference Activity Day One 1. Inaugural Session and Key note Speech 2. Oral Presentation : Three Parallel session in three halls Day two 3. Panel Discussion : Two Panel in two halls (9- 11:30) 4. Idea into Action : Four Incubators in four halls ( 1- 3) 5. Closing Ceremony: (4-5) **Expected No of Participants: 200 ** Students Eligibility Criteria: Grade 11 to Undergraduate students from multiple disciplines. **Students Motivation ** Students will be motivated by providing awards of Best presenter, outstanding presenter, Verbal mentioned for oral presentation and participation. Award of best Ideas into Action is presented one from each four groups as group presentation. **Expected Outcome**  200 young students from social work, social sciences, management, medicine, engineering, law and development studies share and enrich their knowledge about SDGs and importance of human relationship as integral part of sustainable development in their personal, educational and professional life  Participant build their competency on reflective thinking, presentation, discussion and queries in international conference module  Participants built their understanding on the link of human relationship in corporate and social world from the panel discussion and key note speech of experts from social and corporate world.  Young students demonstrate their knowledge and innovation on solution of social and economic problem toward sustainable change and test their ideas.  Young students from different discipline enhance their ability to collaborate with their peers and stakeholders as vehicle to sustainable development positioning human relationship at centre of their work.
