Kadambari Memorial College celebrated the World Social Work Day 2017 in partnership with Nepal College of Development Studies (NCDS) with two day event. The first day was a poster competition in which student of Kadambari College, NCDS , lumbini College of Health Science, Global College, V.S Niketan and Premier College participated and made their poster at Kadambari College. On the second day, an open house event was organised in collaboration with Community Police of ward no 10,34 and 35 and Kathmandu Metropolitan City Office. The students of Kadambari Memorial College, first semester presented a silent play portraying how important the natural environment to the all kind of lives in the Earth. The play was conceptualized and directed by 5th semester student Anu Thapa. The second act was a puppet show. The 5th semester students and students of NCDS presented the 10 minutes puppet show highlighting the present scenario of Kathmandu and how from a personal and community level every one can contribute towards the healthy natural environment. In the program the Campus Chief Pradipta Kadambari in her address said that, Kadambari Memorial College is now focused to enhance the quality of social work education and all other colleges in Nepal also should focus on this too. She said that Kadambari College always encourages the practice based learning through such activities. The chief of administration division, Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) congratulated the college and said that KMC is looking forward to work collaborately with Kadambari College in promoting communities for environmental protection and cleanliness campaign.The representative from Nepal Police Metropolitan City said, the collaborative effort of police and people is essential in creating better environment for people in our society. He congratulated the students on presenting the very good act of awareness. The 25 posters were exhibited and presented for the voting. The winner were Gorgina ( 1st semester, KMC), Deena (5th semester, KMC) and Manju( 5th semester, KMC) were awarded with cash prize and certificate.
